View of Wilfred Thesiger's party trekking across dunes in Al Humrah sands during their journey to Umm az Zumul. In the right distance two of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions lead their camels along the bottom of a sand dune, which rises to a crest on the left. A few bare trees grow on its slopes. In the far distance a vast white sabkha (salt flat) lies beyond, bordered by high dunes. High above the hazy sky is cloudless.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
