View of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party trekking through Al Dhafra sands during their journey across the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali) from Dhibi well to Al Batin sands. Two of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling companions, tribesmen of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, lead camels across a wide trough between sand dunes. On the left a man leads a group of camels on foot. In the further distance on the right, a man rides his camel, followed by two baggage camels, towards distant dunes. In the far distance directly behind the men a large dune rises.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
