Description
View of two members of Wilfred Thesiger's party travelling in the Al Khatam sands south of Al Ain, on their journey towards Al Humrah sands. In the near distance two of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions walk with their camels across an area of low rolling dunes, heading from the left into the right distance. Both men each carry a rifle. The man on the right is Mahalhal bin 'Ati, a tribesman of the Al Khamis lineage of Awamir Bedouin. In the far background behind them low rolling dunes dotted with tufts of vegetation stretch out into the distance.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
