Description
View of rolling dunes in Al Batin sands, near Liwa oasis, in the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali). Three dune ridges, bare of any vegetation, fill the foreground. In the distance beyond lies a salt flat (sabkha) dotted with sparse vegetation. Beyond the salt flat a high dune massif with deeply ridged slopes rises along the horizon.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
