Description

View of a man standing next to the stern of a baghla on the shore of Dubai Creek. A man in a white thobe (long shirt) and ghutra (headscarf) stands next to the stern of the baghla, a large ocean going sailing vessel, that has been propped up on wooden piles sticking out of the sand. The transom stern of the baghla has five windows, two of which are propped open, and is elaborately decorated with wood carvings. A mast and crow's nest lean against the left side of the baghla. In the far left background, a second man stands beside a wooden post resting in the sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
