Description
View of a camel belonging to Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party in Al Humrah sands during their journey to Umm az Zumul. In the central foreground a saddled camel stands on a dune slope next to a dry bare bush, its head rope dragging in the sand. In the distance rolling dunes, dotted by a few clumps of scattered small vegetation, fill the background along the horizon below a hazy cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
