Description
View of a limestone ravine on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. In the foreground two walls of limestone form a ravine on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. On the left the ravine wall rises steeply, while on the opposite right side it slopes softly upward. In the far background jagged walls of limestone rise into a high ridge. Wilfred Thesiger spent a week on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] hunting Arabian Tahr [Hemitragus jayakari] with Arab and Bedouin guides in April 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
