Description
View of an uneven plain and far dunes in Al Batin sands in the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali). In the foreground two large bushes grow on a flat sandy area in a vast rolling plain. Just behind the bush on the left is a deep depression in the sand. Beyond the depression is a salt flat (sabkha), which is bordered by far wind-rippled dunes. The near and right portions of the plain are dotted with sparse vegetation.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
