Description

View of a Manasir Bedouin encampment near Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's hunting camp in the Al Khatam sands near Al Ain. In the foreground a wide expanse of sand dotted with two tufts of qassis (sedge) sits in front of a large herd of camels. Behind the camels on the right a Manasir man and girl stand in front of a tent. The tent is clad in large woven mats made from palm fronds. At the far right a pile of gear lies in the sand. In the distance a low sand dune runs along the horizon below a sky streaked with wispy clouds.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
