Description

Stern view of dhows moored along the shore of Bahrain Island. In wind-rippled water two small dhows are moored alongside a boom, a type of large double masted dhow (sailboat) built in Kuwait. A rowboat floats on the right, tied to the stern of one of the dhows. In the distance many more booms and dhows are moored in the water. In the distance on the far right trees and buildings line a far shore.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
