Description
Standing full length portrait of a middle-aged Arab man, one of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's falconers, holding a falcon in the sands near Al Ain. A falconer in a light coloured thobe (long shirt) topped with a khanjar (dagger) on a leather belt holds a peregrine falcon on a mangalah (cuff) on his arm. The falcon wears a leather burqa (hood) decorated with a strip of leather. Behind him, on the left, a desiccated tree grows in the sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
