Description
Seated portrait of Mahalhal bin 'Ati, one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin guides, in the Wadi al 'Ayn. Mahalhal bin 'Ati, a tribesman of the Al Khamis lineage of Awamir Bedouin, crouches in the right foreground, holding food in his hands. Behind him three bags hang from a pole standing in the sand. In the distance sand fills the background.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
