Description
View of locals and Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party at a well during their journey from Jabal Sumeini to Sharjah. A number of Arab and Bedouin men and camels stand around a well. On the right six men stand around the well opening, which has been topped with concrete or rammed earth. In the centre two men stand side by side,. One of the men is tying up a animal skin filled with water. On the left a man crouches on the ground with his rifle, and a number of camels wait behind him. In the far distance shrubs grow on a sand dune.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
