Description
View of Sultan bin Ahmad, one of the leaders of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, sitting with a young boy in the cliffs above Andhur spring. Sultan bin Ahmad, a sheikh of the Sh'asha lineage of Bayt Kathir Bedouin, sits on the right, and the young boy sits just behind him. Further behind a ruined building, possibly the remains of a fort, sits at the edge of the cliff. In the distance below a large grove of date palms grows in the Wadi Andhur. In the far distance steep cliffs run along the far side of the wadi.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
