Description
View of the stern of a kotia, a large double masted dhow (sailboat) from India, moored at Bahrain Island. A kotia sits in choppy water, its bow pointing into the far distance. The kotia has a transom stern that is steeply inclined. Long lengths of wood sit along the gunwales of the port (left) side of the ship. In the far distance a number of dhows are moored, while in the far background buildings line the shores of Bahrain Island.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
