Description

Standing full length portrait of the Imam of Oman's representative at the southern end of Jabal Hafit (Jebel Hafeet), near Al Qabil. The Imam of Oman's representative, who accompanied Wilfred Thesiger from 'Izz to Al Muwaiji, stands in the foreground facing forward. He carries a rifle over his shoulder and holds a camel stick. He wears a cartridge belt over his thobe (shirt), a light coloured headscarf and has a long thick grey beard. In the far background trees grow below a rock outcrop.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
