Description
Portrait of a man and boy of the Duru Bedouin sitting in a camp near the Wadi Samhan. A middle-aged tribesman of the Duru Bedouin with a long thick beard kneels in the sand on the left. He wears a plain ghutra (headscarf) loosely held in place by a frayed 'agal (head rope) and a khanjar (dagger) over his thobe (shirt). A boy sits close beside him on the right. The boy is smiling and wears a plain ghutra (headscarf) tied around his head and a light coloured thobe (shirt). Flies gather on the boy's face and clothes. In the background a piece of cloth hangs on a small tree.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
