Description
View of the Shindagha district from the Bur Dubai side of Dubai Creek. In the foreground 'arish huts and enclosures made from palm fronds line Dubai Creek. Two large dhows (sailboats) are beached in watery sand at the centre of the creek. On the far left a square stone watchtower, the Shindagha, rises high above nearby houses in the Shindagha district. Further along in the Shindagha district, on the far side of the creek, one and two storey houses made from coral are built close together.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
