Description
View of Salim bin Kabina, one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions, standing in the Al Khatam sands south of Al Ain, during the party's journey towards Al Humrah sands. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands in the central distance in the midst of an expanse of sand. He holds a rifle over his shoulder and braces himself against the strong wind blowing against him. Behind him a number of trees and tufts of vegetation grow in the rolling sands.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
