Description
Standing full length portrait of an Arab man, one of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's falconers, holding a peregrine falcon (shahin) in the sands near Al Ain. A falconer in a light coloured thobe (long shirt) topped with a khanjar (dagger) on a leather belt holds a peregrine falcon on a mangalah (cuff) on one arm. The falcon wears a leather burqa (hood) decorated with a strip of leather. In the far distance beyond small shrubs and bushes grow on a vast expanse of sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
