Description
Portrait of Muhammad al Auf, a tribesman of the Bayt Mbarik lineage of Rashid Bedouin and one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions, standing with a camel in the Al Batin sands. Muhammad al Auf poses next to his camel holding a rifle, a camel stick, and the head-rope for his camel. His camel, saddled and loaded with baggage, looks towards the camera.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
