Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party travelling in Al Khatam sands south of Al Ain, on their journey towards Al Humrah sands. In the foreground a dry bush pokes out of a sloping expanse of wind-rippled sand. The sand is marked by a line of tracks on the right, made by Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions, who are trekking with their camels in a line heading into the far left. Three of the men walk with their camels, while a forth man rides. In the distance beyond low rolling dunes stretch out towards the horizon below a vast cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
