Description

George Coryton, the Governor of Upper Nile Province, with a lion Thesiger shot in the Western Nuer District. Thesiger wrote that he was 'a tall man in obviously hard condition, with a quiet, friendly manner, who quickly made me feel at home.'

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
