Description

Group portrait of young men and boys, pictured here a few days before their circumcision. They are wearing the traditional women's dress of black tanned goat skins and are carrying sticks from which they will make bows and arrows; the women's dress will only be discarded at the final ceremony forty days later.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
